Elastic Modulus and Tensile Strength:
Elastic modulus and tensile strength at break shall be as given below when determined in accordance with the test procedure laid down in IS 8543 (Part 4 / Sec 1): 1984:
Elastic Modulus 2800 ± 200 MPa
Tensile Strength Not less than 45 MPa
Note: The specimen for the test shall be prepared from a section of the pipe heated to a temperature of 125º C to 130º C and subsequently flattened and machined.
